Well I just got back from the OB. I had another non-stress test and an ultrasound. She is now measuring in a pound heavier. Last week it was 8lb 12-9lb12. This week they are measuring her at 9lb 10oz-10lb 10oz. I know they can be off but there is one measurement that is pretty precise. Her HEAD. It’s not on the charts anymore it’s so big. I saw the OB because none of the midwives were available and he tried to convince me to schedule a c-section for today. I politely declined, all FOUR times he offered.  That just makes me nervous. That and the fact that I was told that we have to get the baby out pronto if I don’t want to “rip from head to toe”. Isn’t that lovely? Really, was it necessary to scare me like that.

My cervix has seen no change and I’m still only 1cm dilated so it looks like I will be going in tomorrow night for Cervidil and a pitocin induction on Saturday. I’m not happy about it but at this point I’m just praying I won’t end up in an emergency c-section. Atleast I know that by weekend end, we will finally meet our daughter.

Lesson of the week: Babies will or won’t come. All of that natural induction stuff is just speculation.
